Ambassador Committee
Ambassadors serve as the goodwill arm of the Chamber. They welcome new members, assist the staff during events, and promote member retention. Ambassadors meet the first Thursday of each month at the Chamber from 12 - 1 p.m. For more information contact Nadine Heine at (919) 435-7155 or nheine@morrisvillenc.com.
Chamber members interested in joining the Ambassador Committee are strongly encouraged to get started by volunteering at events. Members who are first engaged at the volunteer level will be eligible to join the Ambassador Committee.
Communications Committee
The Communications Committee is responsible for maintaining a progressive approach to marketing and branding the Morrisville Chamber. The committee works to expand the Chamber's social networking reach, launch and maintain a blog, and to identify new ways of marketing the Chamber.
The committee meets monthly and will make recommendations to the Morrisville Chamber Board of Directors. A volunteer commitment of one year is expected. Chamber members interested in serving on this committee should submit a letter of interest to Sharon Rosche at srosche@morrisvillenc.com. The committee will work under the leadership of the director of communications.
Economic Development/Government Affairs Committee
A new committee designed to set the legislative and development priorities for the Morrisville Chamber of Commerce, about 5 to 8 qualified individuals are needed.
The committee will be engaged with everything from local politics to regional transportation issues. The committee will meet monthly and will make recommendations to the Morrisville Chamber Board of Directors regarding economic development and legislative issues. A volunteer commitment of one year is expected. Chamber members interested in serving on this committee should submit a letter of interest to Sharon Rosche at srosche@morrisvillenc.com. The committee will work under the leadership of Sharon Rosche, president.
Events & Programs Committee
One of the Chamber's primary objectives is to provide members with opportunities for professional development and education through valuable events and programs. This committee will help develop ideas for new programs and events, identify potential sources of sponsorship, and help recruit event volunteers. The committee will also help evaluate existing programs and events.
Approximately 5 to 8 qualified volunteers are needed on this committee. A volunteer commitment of one year is expected. Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest to Sharon Rosche at srosche@morrisvillenc.com. The committee will work under the leadership of Nadine Heine, vice president of membership.
Golf Committee
The Golf committee assists in the planning and execution of the Chamber's annual spring and fall tournaments. For more information contact Nadine Heine at (919) 463-7155 or nheine@morrisvillenc.com.
Knowledgeable Network of Women (KNOW) Committee
The KNOW committee is responsible for planning and managing the KNOW Series. The series consists of quarterly luncheon seminars, each featuring a keynote speaker or panel of experts to address an issue/topic unique to professional women. Morrisville Chamber Business Advisory Council (MCBAC)
MCBAC provides members with free consulting and mentoring services for the purpose of helping their companies achieve strategic, economic growth. The committee is comprised of professional men and women whose areas of expertise range from accounting and IT to legal services and public relations.
