"Last year my partner and I attended a Morrisville Chamber Business After Hours event at the Lenovo facility in town. The event was nice and it allowed us to take a tour of the facility where sales presentations are made to prospective Lenovo customers and shows off the great features of their desktop and laptop computers. As a result of that tour, my partner and I purchased two Lenovo T61 laptops. Since that time, our business has grown and we have purchased three more Lenovo laptops. We are now a Lenovo shop. I realize that our five computer purchases will not necessarily impact the bottom line of Lenovo but now when are in front of clients and prospects they will see that we trust the brand which just means more word of mouth advertising. And to think, this all started with an event hosted by the Chamber. Thanks and keep up the great work!"

"I would like to give recognition to a fellow chamber member who went above and beyond to help me out [at the 2008 Business Expo].
As I was setting up my booth the day before the event, I dropped one of my big trophies for my display. The top pendulant fell and broke. So, the next day I returned with some super glue & duct tape, so I could repair it. And to my shock, when I went to my display I found a brand new pendulant, better than before, installed on my trophy! It turns out Jeff & Lisa Higginbotham from 5 Star Awards, Inc. saw my dilemma and immediately went to repair it on their own. Without questions or payment, they helped make my display shine!
And even though I did not pay them a penny for this, they now have my awards and trophies business for life - or atleast the life of Rush Hour!"

"Last summer the Chamber hosted an evening [Business After Hours] at the Extended Stay Hotel on Miami Blvd. I went along with a co-worker and found it enjoyable and an asset to our organization. While at the hotel, we were able to tour the rooms and facility and it allowed me to connect with Tim Woodhead and negotiate some corporate rates for our guests. We have used the hotel on several occasions and have received positive feedback. This property works out very well for our guests who want to have that at-home feeling and not have to dine out every night.
Recently, you held a Business After Hours at the new Holiday Inn RDU and in attending that we again were able to tour the property and obtain corporate rates for the Holiday Inn. As a result, our Morrisville office is using the hotel to host our upcoming Eastern European conference. So far, we have 20 reservations booked.
The BizTalk on June 4 was one of the first seminars my co-workers and I attended and we all enjoyed Jerry Seavey’s presentation. It was a great learning experience and, as a matter of fact, Tonia who is our operations manager will be using the self evaluations he discussed in our operational meeting next week.
In the short amount of time I have been attending Morrisville Chamber programs, I have gained so much. Thank you to the staff for the work you put in to planning these events."

"HoneyBaked has just used Jani-King of Raleigh/Durham to service our store floors, and they have done an outstanding job. We would like to participate if at all possible in the golf outing [Jani-King Pine Cone Classic 3-08]. We would like to see if we can fulfill the box lunch side of the golf outing. As a former member of the PGA in the New York area I would like participate in some way. We can certainly work out some kind of donation for the entire event if that is available."
